A picture1 may be formed using a variety of techniques, including drawing, painting, printing, photography, or video. It may depict something in the real world or the imagination, or it may be entirely nonrepresentational. In general, a picture is a two-dimensional rendering on an opaque surface. Although, a picture is not necessarily on a flat surface; for example, a picture on a ball. 'Picture' may also refer to a virtual representation in three dimensions through the use of computer graphics, or it may give the appearance of three dimensions, as in stereographs.
