The meeting was called the Western Roundup and was held in Las Vegas, Nevada.

This gathering is designed to replace the annual conference of these various organizations. The first meeting was held in 2005. Sites have included Las Vegas, Seattle, and Denver. The 2020 version was rebranded as the Western Archivists Meeting (WAM) and scheduled for San Francisco, but it was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
