'Nonbook materials' is found in Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules (1967), which includes separate sections for manuscripts; maps; motion pictures and film strips; music; phonorecords; pictures, designs, and other two-dimensional representations. The division between book and nonbook materials does not appear in AACR2 (1978).
