Notes

A mount may be a frame, stand, or board used to display or protect an item. A mount is secondary to the item mounted. Flat works, such as drawings or photographs, may be attached to a cardboard mount using glue, dry mount tissue, or hinges. Slides made with 35 mm film are typically placed in 2 × 2 inch cardboard mounts that surround the image.
