Celluloid was often used to make film and other commercial products, such as containers and brushes. The term was originally a trademark of the Celluloid Manufacturing Company. - Celluloid2 is derived from the use of cellulose nitrate for early motion pictures and has been generalized to refer to motion picture films regardless of the material from which it is made.
