inverted entry

n. A heading with the natural order of words transposed so that it is sorted under a word that normally appears at the end.

Notes

Inverted headings are commonly used for personal names; for example, 'Jones, Lisa'. Inverted headings were often used in subject catalogs to collocate related concepts; for example, 'archives', 'archives, audiovisual', 'archives, motion picture', 'archives, photographic', and so forth.
