Extensible Stylesheet Language Transforms

n. (XSLT, abbr.) A metalanguage that describes rules to convert an XML document with one set of tags to a different XML document with different tags, effectively changing the structure of the document.

XSLT is part of the Extensible Stylesheet Language (XSL) standard. It is commonly used to transform documents created or stored in XML to XHTML for display using different devices, ranging from computer monitors to PDAs to telephones.
