sheet film

n. PhotographyFlat, thin plastic coated with a photographic emulsion.

Notes

Sheet film typically contains one image, although microfiche is sheet film containing many images. Sheet film is distinguished from roll film, which is much longer than wide and which typically contains several images in a single row side by side. 'Film' generally refers to undeveloped materials; once the images have been developed, they are often called negatives, transparencies, or slides.
